Brown&Berry is pleased to present the new “HARLOW” tote as part of our new S/S15 collection. With a stylish yet practical design, this bag features a beautiful woven leather print. “HARLOW” has been designed by Karen Morgan, Brown&Berry’s co-founder.

The design, visualised by our Italian artisans was inspired by Italian woven straw baskets; “Last summer I visited a small traditional market outside Pistoia in Tuscany where the farmers there used straw baskets to display their products, I loved the woven design so much that I wanted to replicate the print as a part of our new collection” said Karen.

Brown&Berry’s antique tanneries were able to create a printed leather with a similar geometric pattern with a beautiful texture. In addition to the captivating print, the handles and the side borders have been made in traditional buffalo leather add contrast and style to this chic tote.

The shape of the bag has been influenced by one of Karens favourite 50’s bags, the classic Bugatti shape. Her idea was to design a bag with a perfect sense of symmetry with an elegant yet simplistic shape to allow versatile wear.  The name “HARLOW” is in dedication to the famous American 1930’s film actress Jean Harlow.
